After 7 months of living in Portland, Oregon, I had not found a stable community or job.
Through my internet searches, I found the Portland Pickles, a local baseball team. The team’s brand and identity was entirely shaped around their mascot, Dillon T. Pickle.
There was something about Dillon that called to me. The calling was so strong that after 5 years of professional mascot retirement, I was tempted by the idea of coming back.
Since then, Dillon and I have been creating a legacy of joy in Portland and beyond. We hope that Dillon is a reminder and embodiment of all we wish Portland to be.
